With the approval of his executors this has been transcribed and reproduced in the &#8216;Histories&#8217; section of this website. This forms the basis of the medieval history of Stapleford and rarely needs to be added to or amended.<\/p><p>Ralph loved this period of\u00a0 history\u00a0 but his interest waned the closer he got to the modern day, and he was quite rude about later developments. Recognising that we are standing on the shoulders of giants, most of the other material on this site covers a period starting around the middle of the nineteenth century to the present day. It is still being developed and items are added at regular intervals.<\/p><p>We welcome contributions.
